An accessible picnic bench was unveiled on Saturday, October 16th, 2004 at Huron Park (across from the CCRI office). Participating in the unveiling were members of the Naparima Alumni Association, Canada (NAAC) and Ontario March of Dimes. The bench is dedicated to Reverend Arthur and Mrs. Bessie Dayfoot.

Arthur Dayfoot is one of the founders of Campus Co-operative Residence Inc., the first housing co-operative in Canada.

The picnic table is specifically designed for wheelchair users who cannot comfortably enjoy picnics in our city parks because the standard tables are not designed for anyone with a disability. The tabletop is also a chessboard.
