The CCRI staff exists for three main reasons – to provide on-going member training and support, to complete repairs and improvements in the houses and other Co-op properties, and to deal with the administrative issues of housing charges and operating a Co-op (e.g., collecting room fees, paying bills, creating budgets, fulfilling paint requests, professionally representing the Co-op to external businesses and organizations, etc.). Just as the members take care day-to-day operations of each division, the CCRI office staff take care of the operations of the Co-op as a whole. And, much like the members take care of the hands-on tasks in their houses, the maintenance staff take care of the larger hands-on tasks on a Co-op wide basis (and some other not-so-hands-on tasks, like creating a fire plan for all houses).

The CCRI staff provides a number of services to you, the members, including:

  • Providing orientation training for new Co-op members,
  • Providing training for all division staff and officers,
  • Answering questions about who to talk to about what,
  • Taking payments for all kinds of things,
  • Dealing with pest and animal control problems, and
  • Performing building and renovations, including electrical and plumbing areas.
